AutoTagging
It would be insanely great if Hiveminder included a system to reduce the effort required to carefully tag tasks.
For example, when I am tagging tasks that deal with 2008 edition the Romanian eLiberatica conference, I might tag the task as "eLiberatica, romania, bucharest, agora, event, FLOSS, 2008". If I were tagging a post from the 2007 eLiberatica conferences, I might tag the task as "eLiberatica, romania, brasov, agora, event, FLOSS, 2007".
I tag this complete because it allows my team to easily see all event-related tasks or to keep an eye on all Romanian activities.
If I were able to associate arbitrary sets of tags with any one or more tags, then I would save lots of time while still getting the benefits of fastidious tagging.
e.g. If I associate "eLiberatica2008" with tags "eLiberatica, bucharest, agora, event, FLOSS, 2008" then when I tag a post with "eLiberatica2008", then the associated tags should be automatically added to the task. Note that machine-generated tags should not be mixed with hand-added tags. This choice makes it easy to correct sets of tags across many tasks simultaneously.
Automatically assigned tags should also be expanded, meaning that if I tagged a task with "eLiberatica2008" (and "eLiberatica2008" was associated with tags "eLiberatica, bucharest, agora, event, FLOSS, 2008") then I would also get "romania" for free (assuming that I had associated "bucharest" with "romania") and "europe" for free (assuming that I had associated "europe" with "romania")
A syntax for this might be:
[eLiberatica2008[eLiberatica, bucharest[romania[europe]], agora[publisher[company]], event, FLOSS, 2008]
